example_b1 Organising information

Below is some information about Steve. He would like you to organise it so that it can be presented on a web site about him.

  1. Group the points he makes into main sections.
  2. Come up with headings for the sections - to act as signposts for readers.
  3. Sketch out a map of how the web site would work.

"I want a web site mainly for people who might employ me to take pictures. My name is Steve George and I'm a photographer. I live at 22 Buchanan Drive, London SE22 9TZ. I trained at Kingston College and have a City & Guilds qualification. I've won competitions, including one for portrait photography in Photomonthly magazine and one for wedding pictures in Weddings Magazine. I'm a member of the British Institute of Professional Photography. I've got an email address. As well as pictures of people, I also take pictures of landscapes and buildings as well. I won a competition in Photomontage magazine for some pictures I took of Canary Wharf. I take colour and black and white pictures. I teach people about photography at a learning centre in East London. I can let you have details of classes and courses coming up. My mobile number is 07989 765467."

As he wants to sell his services as a photographer, you might want to make more of the types of pictures he takes. You could pull these out into a separate list:

  • Weddings
  • Portraits
  • Landscape
  • Buildings

The map of the site might look like this:
